College Presentation
We can visit your school to present an overview of Lancaster and Morecambe
College, the facilities, courses and support etc. Depending on time allocation
we can also offer a break out session to discuss any queries your pupils may
have. The presentation can be tailored to fit the time you have available.
Appropriate for Years 9, 10 & 11
Parents Evening
We can attend your school’s parents evening to discuss course options
with your pupils and their parents/carers.

Careers Events/Options Evenings
If your school has one or both of these events then we would be happy to attend
with a stand and video of the college supplying information, advice and guidance
along with freebies.

College Visits
We can arrange for your pupils to visit the college and have
a tour of the campus, view the facilities and find out more about the courses
on offer.

Specialist Talks
A specialist tutor from the college can visit your school
to discuss a particular course area in more detail including course content,
successes, enrichment and career opportunities.

EMA Workshop
EMA can be confusing at first glance so to help clarify what’s
on offer the college can hold a workshop at your school for pupils, parents
and/or teachers to explain how the EMA works, who is eligible and how to complete
the forms.
Appropriate for Year 11, Parents & Teachers
Work Experience
As the college has many real work environments it maybe possible
for us to provide work experience placements for your pupils within particular
areas.

LMC Update
If you feel that you need an update on what Lancaster & Morecambe
College has to offer, or would just like to have a look around and gain contacts
within particular departments then we can organise this for you too.
Appropriate for Teachers
Interactive Workshops
Get the hands on experience! We can visit your school
or your can visit the college to attend interactive workshops. This would benefit
pupils who have interest in a particular subject area, however are unsure or
would like to find out more by having a taster session. These workshops are
a great opportunity for your pupils to experience a subject first hand.
Group sizes vary but a rough guide would be a minimum of 10 and maximum of
16 depending on subject area. Subjects available are:

Year 10 Taster Days
These are due to be held on Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July . Taster days consist of a day long visit at LMC, where
we aim to give your pupils the experience of two taster sessions of their
choice. Through these taster sessions we give pupils an insight into studying
at the college and the chosen subject area.
