Accessibility
Design
The College website is designed to allow quick, logical navigation and easy access to information. A number of images are used throughout the site for decoration; however these are kept to a minimum wherever possible, keeping the focus on the provision of information.
The site layout is controlled by CSS (cascading style sheets) which ensures that the text content of the site is separate from the code used to create the layout. This improves readability in non-standard browsers.
Text Resizing
The website also features a text-resizing tool to allow users to increase the font size of website text. This is over and above the standard browser text-size controls which will also work with this site.
DDA Guidelines

The site has passed the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) guidelines for design standards, which are officially approved by the DDA.
Our RSS feed validates according to the strict guidelines created by the W3C.
Resolution
Although we have designed the site to be usable at 800x600 resolution, the optimum screen size is 1024x768.
Data Presentation
All information is presented in suitable formats: most information will be presented in XHTML, while downloadable documents are published in Adobe PDF. To obtain a free copy of Adobe PDF Reader please use this link.
Printing
The site features a print-optimised style sheet which means that when you print any page of the website it is automatically laid out to fit on a sheet of standard A4 paper. This avoids wasting paper and makes the information easily readable when printed.
Future Development
