General information
This course aims to provide students with a basic introduction to animal care which could lead to employment at a junior level or to further courses. It will help students to develop personal and administrative skills needed in this kind of work as well as providing introduction to animal care and some underpinning knowledge of biology, numeracy and communications.
Who is the course for?
Anyone with an interest in working with animals.
What do I need to join the course?
You will need either:
- 1 GCSE grade C to include maths, English or science
- GNVQ Foundation at Merit or above
- NVQ Level 1 in a related field or equivalent
- BTEC Introductory Certificate/Diploma at Pass
You must show enthusiasm for the subject, be able to work independently, and be committed to your studies.
