Introduction
Work with some of the world’s most interesting, funny, challenging and demanding people!
Are you looking for a career in an industry where no two days are the same, and you’ve no chance of getting bored? You may be planning to work in a mainstream educational environment, specialist care setting, entertainment of children or to work with parents and carers.
You’ll need to be imaginative and creative, patient and organised. You’ll train in LMC’s specially designed play and assessment rooms and develop the range of practical experience you’ll need on work placements throughout your course. We’ll also help you develop your communication skills to ensure you are comfortable dealing with children and adults in a positive manner.
Studying Child Education can lead to employment in the area at a variety of different levels or further study at degree level. Previous students have gone on to work in nurseries, schools and childcare centres in the UK and abroad or study subjects such as teaching, child psychology and playwork.
