General information
A foundation degree is a vocational higher education qualification which combines academic study and work-based learning and experience. This course is designed to meet the needs of employers in the childcare sector. On successful completion of the foundation degree you can top up to a full BA Honours Degree by continuing your studies at the University of Central Lancashire.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for anyone who has completed A’ levels or a level 3 vocational course. It is also ideal for mature students with experience in childcare settings who wish to develop their career.
What do I need to join the course?
The minimum age for students wishing to join the course is 18. You will be considered eligible for the course if you have achieved a relevant level 3 qualification e.g. NVQ 3 in a vocationally relevant area, BTEC National Diploma Early Years, BTEC National Diploma in Health, CACHE Diploma in childcare and Education, Advanced GNVQ or A levels.
