Introduction
Whether you are keen to start a career in the business side of ICT focusing on business support, programming and development or prefer the creative side of the industry focussing on computer games development and interactive media, this range of courses at Lancaster and Morecambe College will help you to understand the uses and capabilities of ICT and how technologies can be utilised to generate income, create efficiencies and provide entertainment services.
Our professional tutors will work with you to develop your skills and abilities and you will have access to the latest equipment and software to help you understand how the industry works and follow current developments. You will also benefit from visiting speakers, visits and possibly even European work experience.
Students have progressed to a range of jobs from these courses including employment in the IT sector, music and design industries. Many have chosen to progress from the Level 3 courses to degree level study including Interactive Systems and Games Design at University of Bradford, Computer Games Development at Leeds Metropolitan University, Communications and Systems at Lancaster University, Computer Systems and Management at University of Chester, Computer Science at Lancaster University, Visual Communications at Birmingham University and Teacher Education at Edge Hill University.
