You’ll train in our well equipped workshops, with tutors who have worked in the industry, mastering the tools and techniques you need to prepare for the realities of work in this industry.
You’ll learn all aspects of the trade, from customer service and health & safety to technical drawings and practical work, ensuring that, on completion of your course, you are ready to face the world of work.
Students from engineering courses can progress on to further study in their area, including degrees and Level 4 qualifications, or to gain employment in the industry. Former students have gone on to not only work in the industry but also set up and run their own businesses.

General information
This course gives the learner a good introduction to both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical installation and can lead to an Electrical Apprenticeship or progression onto the full time Level 2 Electrical Installation.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for school leavers who would like a career in electrical installation.
What do I need to join the course?
You will need:
- 4 GCSEs at grade D-G preferably including Maths
You must also have enthusiasm for the subject, commitment to your studies and a proven interest in electrical installation.
