You’ll gain experience with professional tutors in the Wella salons on campus, and enhance your skills through competition work, visits, exhibitions and master classes with experts in the field. You’ll be working with real customers from day one, so will quickly become used to working with the public and increase your confidence in reception responsibilities and consultation techniques.

Your studies will not only focus on technical ability and specialist skills, but ensure you learn about the business side of running a salon too. Mastering the art of customer service, being confident that health and safety requirements are met, and developing skills in the promotion of additional services will help you to have a
clearer understanding of the industry and become a talented and valuable part of your employer’s team.

Students progress into all levels within the hairdressing industry from these courses including working in salons, on cruise ships and in holiday resorts overseas. Some open their own salon and others decide to complete degree level studies in salon management or related subjects. Whatever your ambition you will gain the knowledge, understanding and skills you need to become a successful hair stylist here at Lancaster and Morecambe College.
