General information
The television and film industries are rapidly expanding areas with constantly changing technology. Throughout this course, specialist modules will allow you to study TV and Film Production via drama, documentary, news, factual reporting and scriptwriting. One third of the course deals with media theory. The course is suited to motivated students who are keen to see their ideas realised and who enjoy working in a creative environment. It is the equivalent of 3 A Levels and is designed to give an introduction to the Media through practical experience, where you can learn about the processes of Media Production by making your own programmes.
Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at anyone who is interested in the Media and Media issues. If you have a passion for creating moving images and want to acquire the appropriate technical skills, then this course could be for you.
What do I need to join the course?
You will need either:
- 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C including English and Maths
- GNVQ Intermediate – Merit or above
- BTEC First Diploma at Pass (with Merits in some modules)
- NVQ Level 2 (in relevant subject)
