Introduction
Whether it’s the Army, Navy, RAF, Police, Paramedics, Fire Service or any of the other public services that you are aiming to join, a Public Services course is the route for you.
You will have the opportunity to study the public sector and how it works, learning about politics, criminology and the law. You’ll develop a range of skills necessary to help you pass the selection processes of public service organisations including leadership abilities, teamworking skills and improved physical fitness.
As part of the course you will take part in group and individual activities and trials as well as participating in work experience with your chosen service. You will get the opportunity to interact and network with representatives from the different services through an exciting conference week programme, including talks and advice from public service professionals, organised activities and residential trips.
Students from Public Services courses progress on to a wide variety of routes gaining employment in the Army, Navy, Royal Marines, RAF, Police, HM Customs and Excise Fire and Ambulance Service. Many students from Level 3 choose to progress to university where degree specialisms include: Criminology, Paramedic Studies, Law and Politics.
