Introduction
LMC has invested £1.5 million in brand new sports facilities including a floodlit 3G sports pitch, all weather multi-use games area and state of the art fitness suite.
As a sport student you will have full access to these facilities to enhance your training and development, and to learn first hand how a commercial sports centre operates.
Industry trained coaches will help you make the most of your talent, expanding your knowledge and understanding of the industry and your personal development. Professional training will enhance your sporting performance and increase yourfitness levels, ensuring you are ready for whatever challenges lie ahead.
Working with international partners including organisations in Lithuania, Lanzarote, Bulgaria and the Komi Republic in Russia, LMC provides opportunities to develop your sports and coaching skills in European and international settings.
If you are outstanding in a particular sport why not aim for a place on one of our Sports Development Centres. These focus on Men’s Football, Women’s Football, Men’s Rugby Union, Women’s Hockey, Netball and Distance and Cross Country Running.
Students progress to many and varied careers from these courses including employment in health club, sports and leisure centres or gyms, as a personal trainer, fitness instructor, outdoor instructor, lifeguard, professional footballer or coach. Students completing Level 3 courses usually progress to degree level study at university or the Foundation Degrees at College. Degree options include; Sports Coaching, Teaching, and Sport and Business.
Fitness Instruction & Coaching Certificate Level 2

This is a one year full time Level 2 course geared towards a career in the fast growing industry of fitness and instruction and coaching sports.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who are seeking employment within the sport and fitness industry. It also provides a solid basis for progression to further study within this area.
What do I need to join the course?
You will need either:
- Any 2 GCSEs at grade A*-C
- Related Diploma Level 1 course
You must enjoy working with people, show enthusiasm and commitment to the subject. You maybe accepted without formal qualifications if you have had relevant work experience.
