Higher Education Courses - Lancaster and Morecambe College

Foundation Degrees

Foundation Degrees are vocational higher education qualifications which combine academic study with work based learning and experience.

These innovative qualifications are designed in partnership with employers to equip you with skills that can be used in employment, as well as the knowledge and understanding that can help improve business performance and profitability. Our Foundation Degrees also allow you to progress into an optional final year at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) where you can convert your qualification into a full BA (hons) degree.

Foundation Degrees are suitable for anyone who has already completed a level 3 course of study. They are also ideal for mature students with experience in relevant settings who wish to develop their career, or those looking to pursue a new career path.

Fees for Foundation Degrees are often lower than traditional degrees, but you will be entitled to the same financial support as other HE students, making these courses a cost effective option. Please call Student Services on 0800 306 306 for more information about the financial assistance available for HE students.
