Sabotage at the Hexagon
Huge success!
The first student-run gig this year ‘Sabotage’, held in the Hexagon at LMC, was a huge success.
Organised by David Murdoch, Students’ Union Events Officer and Public Services student, the night drew in crowds of over 200 people. Five bands performed at the gig including Seaside Riot, rarely seen playing outside Manchester, ‘Idol Minds’, crowd pleasers ‘A Day in the Life’ and ‘Article 48’ alongside up and coming, new band ‘Liar Liar’. More Music and Juicafe proudly supported the event.
David said of Sabotage, ‘the night was such a success and I hope to organise many more, bringing the wealth of local talent together under one roof’.
David is also behind ‘Music Lounge’, a new Students’ Union group showcasing at the College from 4th March. ‘Music Lounge’ aims to bring together musicians from across the college, of any level of experience, to develop their skills and form new bands for the area. More Music in Morecambe will be working with the ‘Music Lounge’, offering workshops and musical development to students.
Sabotage was staged at the Hexagon Theatre on Saturday 7th February.
