Coulson’s Wedding Reception
Lancaster and Morecambe College hosted its first wedding reception earlier this month, for a bride who was also celebrating her 40th birthday.
Lee and Gillian Clarke held their reception for 51 guests in the college’s Coulson’s restaurant, with LMC catering and hospitality students waiting on and preparing the food. Gillian Clarke heard about the restaurant from her mother, a florist who had done floral displays for Coulson’s.
The LMC students who prepared and served the food worked extremely hard, and received numerous compliments from the wedding guests for the excellent standards of food and service. Many of the guests were previously unaware of Coulson’s, and were very impressed with what they found.
Debbie Cain, NVQ Assessor at LMC said “I was really impressed with the students’ dedication and hard work. They all enjoyed making it a lovely day for the couple, and I was very proud of what they achieved”
Since the event Coulson’s has received a thank you letter from a local businessman, Harry Armistead who felt compelled to write and say how much he had enjoyed the event and wished to convey his thanks to the team.
