Acting With Integrity

LMC staff and students.... Act with integrity

Our expectations of students are clearly communicated in the Learning Agreement which all students sign up to at the start of their course.

LMC students can expect:

  • Tuition from suitably qualified tutors
  • Comfortable classrooms and well equipped workshops and laboratories
  • Access to college facilities such as the Learning Centres (Library and Learning Resource Centre) where they can study independently and receive help from staff
  • Additional information, support and guidance from staff in Student Services
  • The opportunity to receive additional learning support, where appropriate and practical, to compensate for any sensory / physical disability or learning difficulty on vocational courses funded by the Learning & Skills Council

LMC expects students to:

  • Attend 100% of timetabled sessions
  • Arrive to lectures on time
  • Organise their time effectively to meet deadlines and complete all work to the best of their ability, seeking help if needed
  • Behave in a considerate manner and show respect to all members of the college community
  • Use college resources sensibly and act in accordance with college policies
  • Observe college rules and regulations, especially in regard to health & safety
  • Accept the right of the college to initiate disciplinary proceedings if they are in breach of accepted behaviour guidelines
