Principal’s Introduction

David Wood, Principal, Lancaster and Morecambe College

We recognise that deciding what to do after school is a big decision for you and your son/daughter; things have certainly changed since we were at school! The number of opportunities available today can be confusing, so we’ve put together this guide to introduce the college and highlight some of the things you might not know about LMC to help you and your son/daughter decide if our college is right for you.

At Lancaster & Morecambe College we strive to offer an experience which is broader than achieving a qualification. It may seem simpler to take the easy option and stay on at school, but we believe that the college experience will encourage your son/daughter to grow and develop independence, initiative and skills that will help them to succeed in their future. We believe that LMC offers a learning environment where support is readily available to ensure that every student achieves their very best.

89% of our students progress to university, employment or further training and we’re delighted that 96% of our students are happy with the teaching and learning at LMC.

We would like to invite you to attend any of our Open Evenings along with your son/daughter to take a tour of the college, speak to our tutors and current students and find out more about what it’s really like to study at Lancaster & Morecambe College. See the back page for Open Evening dates.

We look forward to welcoming you to LMC
