Education Maintenance Allowance
If you are aged 16-19 at the start of your course, you may qualify to receive £10, £20 or £30 per week, subject to parental income and 100% course attendance. You may even qualify for bonuses worth up to £400 over two years.
Adult Learner Grant
If you are aged over 19 and studying for your first level 2 or level 3 course, you may be entitled to up to £30 per week subject to income and attendance.
Learner Support Fund
If you or your parents receive a means-tested benefit, or are on a low income, financial support may be available for bus fares, childcare, course fees, expenses and equipment. There is also an additional fund for students who are experiencing financial hardship. It is unlikely that you’ll qualify for Learner Support Fund money if you receive EMA or ALG.
Residential Bursary Scheme
If you wish to study at LMC, but live beyond daily travelling distance, you
may be entitled to financial assistance. Phone 01524 521255 for

Course & Exam Fees
If you are aged 19 or under and have been resident in the UK or EU for the last 3 years or more, you will be exempt from any fees except higher education courses. Are you over 19?
College Bus Service
People travel from all over the region to study at Lancaster & Morecambe College, so, to make your life easier, we offer full time students daily return transport during term time on these routes.
If you will be travelling from Garstang and surrounding areas you may qualify to receive a bus pass for use on scheduled services. If so we’ll give it to you during the first two weeks of term.
