Student Services Programme Mentors
What is a Programme Mentor?
The Programme Mentors work within Student Services and the Faculties and provide information, advice & support service to students experiencing difficulties that are affecting their studies. They also act as a signpost to other sources of support both within the college and to outside agencies if necessary.
Who are the Programme Mentors?
Based within each faculty, you can contact your Programme Mentor in the following ways;

Alex Proctor: Wed, Thurs and Fri 8.30 – 2.30pm - Programme Mentor for ADEC is
Jane Twyman: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs and Fri – 8.30 – 2.00pm - Programme Mentor for SCPS is
Bev Martindale: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs and Fri – 8.30 – 2.00pm
How do we make contact?
We are available in staff rooms within your faculty or you could choose to see us in Student Services, if you require a confidential appointment. We prefer to meet with learners in College but may also contact you by phone or write to you at home.
Why do we make contact?
There are a number of reasons why we may need to speak with you; your tutor may refer you if they have any concerns about you, if you have continued or erratic absence, or if you are having difficulties that are affecting your studies or time at College.

You do not need to be referred to us, you are more than welcome to come along for a chat at any time!
If you feel you could benefit from speaking to us, we are based in your programme area staff room. We also have confidential rooms in Student Services where we can meet with you, if you would prefer. Just come down to Student Services and speak with our friendly reception staff who will advise you. We are here to make your College experience as successful as possible.
We are usually available to see students between 8.30am – 2.30pm during term time.
