Student studying Mental Health Nursing

I enjoyed my time at LMC and I still miss it very much.

What have you done since leaving Lancaster & Morecambe College?
I went on to study at Teeside University and graduated with an honors degree in Computing. I then became a web designer freelance for a short period of time until I got a position in the NHS working as a E-Rostering Assistant. Redundancies were made at the hospital so I moved to another area and got a job as an E-Rostering Administrator for a year. After this I moved into a new job as a Rota Maker for Doctors.
A year after this I moved to Scotland with my partner and took a job as a receptionist. A year later I applied for entry on to the Mental Health Nursing course at Abertay University. I am almost into third year and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I am currently working part time as well as a bank staff worker for a care home.

What is your favourite thing about your job?
Being able to make a difference in people’s lives, it can be a rewarding job.

What were the best bits about your course?
Building a social network, making video games and learning new software such as Cinema 4D. The tutors were very good at keeping us engaged.

Anything else you would like to tell us?
