This nationally recognised qualification is ideal for anyone currently working in or looking to gain employment in information, advice or guidance roles such as Customer Service Advisor, Support Worker or Peer Mentor.

Who is this Course for?

This course is designed for adult learners studying part time as a hobby or to support a change in their career.

What progression and career opportunities will I gain?

The course has been created by industry experts to healp learners develop and imporve the practical skills needed to successfully convey information, advice or guidance in a wide range of situations and sectors.

What are the entry requirements for the course?

You will need:

• To be 16 years of age or older

• To complete a satisfactory initial assessment in literacy skills

What does the course involve?

This course is split into five manageable units. These are:

• Information, Advice or Guidance in Practice

• Developing interaction skills for information, advice or guidance

• Signposting and referral in information, advice or guidance

• Information, advice or guidance in context

• Skills for advice providers

How will I be Assessed?

Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. You will be allocated an assessor who will support you through the learning process and assess your work.

What qualification will I get?

On completion of this course you will recieve a NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Information, Advice and or Guidance.
