This is a level 5 two year full time course geared towards a career in the fast growing sports coaching industry. The course aims to introduce students to the theory and application of sports coaching in sporting environments.
This course is designed for Higher Education learners the course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers.
The course can lead onto a career in the fast growing leisure industry in areas such as:
• Health and Fitness Clubs
• Sports Clubs
If you would like to continue your studies you can choose to study a top up degree in Sport and Exercise Science
You will need one of the following:
• Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Sport/Sport and Exercise Sciences at MPP
• Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
• Other relevant Level 3 qualifications
• A minimum of 64 UCAS points
AND GCSE maths and English at grade C/4 or higher
You will also need enthusiasm for the subject with a commitment to study, and show good skills in practical subjects. If you are over 19 years of age, you may be accepted without formal qualifications particularly if you have had relevant experience.
