The UK tourism is one of the largest in the world. Tourism related employment accounts for 3.2 million jobs in UK.

The level 3 in Travel and Tourism is a one year programme of study which enables learners to develop substantial core knowledge of the travel and tourism industry. Taught by industry experts, learners will be occupationally ready to take up employment within the travel and tourism industry upon successful completion of the course.

Who is this Course for?

This course is designed for 16-18 year old and will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience. The course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers.

What progression and career opportunities will I gain?

Following successful completion of this course you can study further;

• Level 2 in Air Cabin Crew

• Level 3 Business and Enterprise

Alternatively, you can progress to employment in the tourism sector;

• Travel Agent

• Customer Service Assistant

• Holiday Representative

• Travel Reservations Specialist

What are the entry requirements for the course?

5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher including Maths and English OR a Level 2 related qualification PLUS grade C/4 or higher in BOTH Maths and English.

Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager.

• Worldwide Travel and Tourism Destinations

• Special Internet Holidays

• Holiday Park Host

• Tourism in the UK

• Entertainment

• Work Placement

All LMC students will receive one-to-one tutorial support.

How will I be Assessed?

The course is assessed using projects, assignments, presentations, multiple choice tests and role plays.

What qualification will I get?

On completion of this course you will receive a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism, equivalent to 32 UCAS points.
