These qualifications are designed for those who currently work, or wish to work in the field of Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance (IQA). The content studied is designed support the assessment and quality assurance of all Apprenticeships, Vocational Qualifications, Awards, Certificates and Diplomas.

Entry Requirements

To study this course you must:

  • Have enthusiasm for the subject area

  • Complete a satisfactory DBS check

  • Enjoy working with others

  • Have good time management skills

  • Show a commitment to study (attendance, punctuality & behaviour)

You must also have GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.

Course Activities

The Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes Practice is designed to develop learner knowledge and understanding of the principles of internal quality assurance without any requirement to practice.

It will also confirm competence in the occupational role for those who maintain and improve the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

There is also the option to undertake the Plan, Allocate and Monitor Work in Own Area of Responsibility Level 4 Certificate. This qualification is intended for those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff and it confirms competence in the occupational role to the standards required.

To complete these qualifications you will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence and will undergo a variety of assessment methods such as written assignments, practical observations and professional discussions.
