Whether you have just started writing, or are already working on a creative project this course will be a useful and enjoyable way to develop your skills and stretch your imagination.
You will be experimenting in a friendly and positive environment, building up a portfolio of work which by the end of the course, could be suitable for publication.
This course is taught by Colette Lawler a biologist, poet and author who has taught a variety of short courses at Lancashire Adult Learning including: How to get Published, Life Writing, Ghost Stories, Short Stories for Competitions, alongside several community evening courses.
Colette’s poems have been published in journals and competition anthologies in the UK, Ireland and the US such as: London Art, Print Fest, BBC WriteScience, Never Bury Poetry and The Hopper.
Colette completed the MA Creative Writing Programme at Lancaster University and this year her novel has been long listed in an international competition.
This course costs £180.00, including exam fees.
You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
