What do I need to join?

• You will need to complete assessments in both English and Maths to demonstrate that you are working at a level of GCSE Grade D/3. You will also have to attend an interview.
• Demonstrate commitment to study
• Be prepared to complete regular homework

General Information

The aim of the course is to enable adults to return to study in order to increase their career prospects or to eventually progress on to a Level 3 course.
This course is 3 hours a week for 12 weeks with start dates in September and February. For students who complete the 12-week Certificate course starting in September, there will be the opportunity to do a second 12-week course leading to the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Health & Social Care.
Where appropriate, it is possible to study GCSE English Language, GCSE Maths or Functional Skills Literacy and Numeracy in addition to the course.

Who is this course for?

The course is suitable for adults (19+) who are highly motivated and are prepared to work hard to develop their Level 2 skills.
