Who is this course for?
The course is primarily for school leavers who wish to progress to University, Higher/Degree Apprenticeships or would like to go straight into a career in a business setting. Past students have provided much positive feedback regarding the value of the course. Recently, students have participated in a large-scale event management activity, which saw students plan, resource and hold and wedding reception themed evening to raise funds for their local charity, St John’s Hospice. Students chose the menu, decorated the room and designed fundraising activities to support the evening activities all whilst negotiating deals to ensure they remained within their budget. Alumni student Molly Hackett said, “I loved this event management unit, giving us the opportunity to take responsibility for the entire project made us really consider the finer detail of successfully managing an event and I know that I will be using organisation skills again throughout my career”.
