ConstructionConstruction

We are keen to encourage young people into construction, develop links with employers and work closely with industry to ensure students gain the essential skills they need to become highly employable in the construction industry. Whether you choose to specialise in Brickwork, Plumbing or Carpentry and Joinery, there are loads of opportunities including working for local, national and international contractors or becoming your own boss!

Ryann Williams, Head of Construction

“During my time at College starting from Level 1 plumbing, I have become more capable and confident in my skills and now after completing my level 3 Plumbing course I have been employed by LMC first as a technician and now as a member of the Estates team. Thanks to the support of the staff members, now my colleagues, I was able to improve both my skills and myself and I continue to do so, working with so many people with various skills and talents.”

Dan Jones, Level 3 Plumbing

Past students have gone on to higher courses in Construction and the Built Environment. Also, many have gained full time employment as plumbing and heating engineers, carpenters and joiners, civil engineers and working in architects’ offices at employers such as Costain, Rogerson, Bowker, Duckett and Russell Armer. From our full time courses in Brickwork, Carpentry & Joinery, Plumbing, Electrical Installations and Apprenticeships, many of our students go on to start their own business both locally and regionally.

Your future career could be..
