Zoe Petrou, Head of Hairdressing

LMC works with over 50 local salons to offer Apprenticeships to students.

Where does it lead?

Previous students have gone on to work with local salons including Reds, Heaton Hair and Jo & Cass. Two students also opened their own salons. Employment prospects range from working in salons, spas and cruise ships, to self-employment or as a representative for famous companies such as Wella or L’Oreal.

“I immensely enjoyed Level 3 Hairdressing; being a more mature student, initially I felt on edge but my tutors made me feel at ease inspiring me and giving me confidence to push myself to achieve the goals I had set for myself. In all I had an enjoyable and positive experience at College, obtaining a position quickly once completing my Level 3 at Top to Toe hair and beauty salon in Morecambe.“
