All our students are provided with the opportunity to meet and engage with a wide range of services and explore what it would be like to work in this exciting sector. Our courses are delivered by highly qualified industry specialist tutors with knowledge across all key areas of the Public Services and its supporting infrastructure.

What do I need to join?
4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including Maths or English OR a Level 1 related qualification PLUS grade D/3 or higher in Maths or English.
Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager.
The BTEC Extended Certificate in Public Services is a one year, full time, work related course aimed at students who wish to consider a career in one of Britain’s Public Services. During the course you will have considerable contact with the range of public services through visits, exercises, short residential experiences and work observations. You will be expected to participate in a range of challenging out of College activities where the emphasis will be on team development.
