Choosing to study a sports programme will give you access to a fantastic range of sports, therapy and fitness facilities, including our high specification all-weather 3G pitch, multi-use games area, fitness gym and therapy suite. Our courses are delivered by highly qualified industry specialist tutors who work across all key areas of professional sport and its supporting infrastructure. Our Sports students also benefit from additional courses recognised by industry. We develop professional sports teams onsite including Morecambe FC, and help to promote wheelchair sports.

Choosing to study in the Sport department at Lancaster & Morecambe College will give you access to exciting programmes of learning, taught by extremely well qualified tutors with industry experience, who have worked across key areas of professional sport. The courses will give you access to a fantastic range of sports, therapy and fitness facilities, including our high specification all-weather 3G pitch, multi-use games area, and fitness gym. Progression through the qualification levels is encouraged and supported. You will undertake work experience as part of your course, in a variety of settings, where you can apply what you have learnt in the classroom to practical experiences. Students can gain successful employment on completion of the course or can progress onto University. There are excellent enrichment opportunities available, including visits to universities, higher education taster days, industry guest speakers, community sporting events, and residential educational visits.
