The cost of the course will be £105.00 and includes tuition, course materials, certification fees, light refreshments and lunch.

General Information

This short intensive one day initial awareness of First Aid course covers all topics necessary to meet the Health and Safety Executive’s requirements for Emergency First Aid at Work which complies with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

What does the course involve?

The sessions will include practical elements and the performance of participants will be continually assessed. Delegates will need to be suitably dressed for working on the floor and are required to be of reasonable fitness and aged over 16 years.
On completion of training, successful candidates should be able to understand the role of the first-aider including reference to:
• The importance of preventing cross infection;
• The need for recording incidents and actions;
• Use of available equipment;
• Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency;
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious;
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking;
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding;
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock;
• Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries.

General Information

This is a short intensive course which aims to provide candidates with an understanding and knowledge of health and safety. The qualification provides an introduction to health and safety.

What does the course involve?

The programme runs for one full day during which participants will undertake an examination paper consisting of 30 multiple-choice questions.

The learning outcomes of the course are:

• Understand the responsibilities placed on employers and employees
• Understand the hazards, risks and main causes of harm to workers
• Understand the importance of following systems, procedures and rules
• Understand how individual action can reduce risks to health and safety
• Appreciate how workplace equipment and task design affect health and safety

This IOSH - Working Safely course is a different approach to Health & Safety training. It is jargon-free and hands-on to provide an understanding of why it is necessary to 'work safely', and how you can change everyday behaviours to enhance your Health & Safety.

Designed by IOSH - the Chartered body for health and safety professionals, the fun and inclusive approach taken during this course is more effective at not only getting across vital information, but also at inspiring people to engage with Health & Safety.

What does the course involve?

The IOSH - Working Safely modular programme design ensures learners can work through the course material effectively and efficiently, step by step, whilst ensuring the learner is provided with an understanding of Health and Safety.

The IOSH - Working Safely course covers:
• Health, safety and environmental fundamentals
• Thought-provoking case studies and facts to help reinforce information
• Interactive quizzes and games to help delegates learn informally to help retention of information
• Definitions of risk and hazards and how to identify them in the workplace

The IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ course is unlike any other Health and Safety course because it delivers practical step-by-step guidance with a sharp business focus that’s hands-on and jargon-free. The innovative format and content is engaging and inspiring – critical to embedding safety and health throughout your entire organisation.

What does the course involve?

The IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ modular programme design ensures learners can work through the course material effectively and efficiently, step by step. However, whilst ensuring the learner is provided with an understanding of Health and Safety Management, the programme also covers basic environmental issues too. In summary, the course provides:

• Memorable and thought-provoking facts and case studies
• Modules backed by clear examples and recognisable scenarios
• Summaries to reinforce key points
• Checklists and materials supplied for subsequent use in the workplace
