What do I need to join?
You will need:
• To complete a satisfactory initial assessment in literacy skills.
• It may also be useful to have already achieved a Level 1 qualification in health and social care.
Increase your understanding of the principles of healthy eating and the role of food in maintaining health. This programme includes planning for a healthy diet, weight management, eating disorders, food labelling and how an individual’s dietary requirements change throughout their life.
Distance learning is a great way of learning remotely without being in regular face-to-face contact with a teacher or an assessor. Students have the flexibility to study at home or at work, fitting in their course around other life and work commitments.

The course is suitable for learners working in, or intending to work in, healthcare and social care, to give them an understanding of nutrition and health, to support their role in the workplace.
