Pre-apprenticeship Support - Prospective Apprentices:

We offer apprenticeship preparation days to all our prospective apprentices. We will support and develop your interview techniques and assistant you with the development of your CV. If you have little or no work experience we will be able to offer you a traineeship where you can develop your skills, knowledge and experience to support you to gaining paid employment as an apprentice. Delivering extra……

At LMC we have developed a Skills Development Academy for all our apprentices the half day sessions cover a range of topics to further develop and enhance apprenticeships skills and knowledge; from communication, team leading, social media marketing to excel training. Unique to LMC we are also able to offer a Fit4Work scheme for all our apprentices.
Fit4Work is part of LMC’s Tackling Inactivity Programme. With its help, apprentices:

✓ Understand the importance of keeping physically active in the workplace

✓ Overcome emotional and physical barriers preventing them from being active

✓ Improve mental and physical wellbeing

✓ Improve productivity

✓ Learn how to keep active, regardless of space, equipment, budgets and time constraints

Denise Martin - Apprentices Article


Denise is a mother of two, with a full time role in Health and Social Care. Her aspiration was to become a nurse. Through sheer determination and hard work Denise successfully completed our Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care Apprenticeship including achieving her maths and English Level 2 award.

Denise was rewarded with a special award for her progress in maths in our annual apprenticeship awards evening. Denise progressed to our Access to Higher Education provision has just received several offers from local universities to undertake her nursing degree from September 2019 to achieve her career aspirations.




We offer a recruitment service to all employers we will advertise your vacancy locally and nationally through on-line platforms. We will select the most appropriate candidates and forward you relevant CV’s to review. We can even support your interview process through holding the interviews at LMC.




Four Lancaster and Morecambe College plumbing apprentices have just returned from a three week Erasmus+ funded work experience in Aalborg, Denmark.

This project marks a significant development in relations between Tech College Aalborg and LMC and local companies in both countries, who have previously worked together on exchanges involving best practice and staff development in the Construction & Engineering fields.
