This course offers a sound introduction to the exciting and prosperous careers in Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy. You will gain knowledge and learn new techniques in a variety of basic industry services and gain a City & Guilds Entry 3/Level 1 Certificate. The course includes a mix of both theory and practical work and assessments on an ongoing basis.

There are no formal entry criteria for this course, just a commitment to your studies.

Course Activities

Units on the course are relevant and meet industry demands in the workplace, they may include:

  • Shampoo and conditioning

  • Hair plaiting

  • Skin care

  • Hand care

  • Styling women’s hair

  • Nail art application

  • Basic Manicure

  • Basic pedicure

  • Temporary colour application

  • Health and safety

  • Presenting a professional image

Course Fees

This course costs £67.00, including exam fees.

You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
