Job Description

Project Administrator – LEAP and Leading Lancashire 
Salary £19,093 per annum (£9.90 per hour)
37 hours per week
Temporary until 28th February 2023

Lancaster & Morecambe College is seeking a reliable Administrator to support the Lancashire Engaging Apprenticeship Programme (LEAP) and the Leading Lancashire project. 

Leading Lancashire  
The Leading Lancashire project is part funded by the European Social Fund, and will support SMEs and the self-employed in Lancashire to develop effective behaviours in Leadership & Management,. Through the project we are also proud to offer a range of Chartered Management Institute (CMI) awards and certificates as well as short one day courses.  

LEAP – Lancashire Engaging Apprenticeship Programme 
The Lancashire Engaging Apprenticeship Programme (LEAP) is a  European Social Fund project and supports Lancashire based SMEs in a career focused way by offering mentoring and guidance to apprentices and employers alike.   
With a strong career focus, apprentices will engage in masterclasses with industry professionals designed to inspire and motivate them, ensuring they bring fresh ideas into the workplace. We can also support employers with coaching and mentoring. 
As the Project Administrator, you will provide administrative support for all aspects of the projects, including reporting progress to senior leaders, collating project feedback and monitoring key performance indicators.
Experience of working in a busy administrative team and providing customer service is essential to the role. You will possess excellent planning, prioritising and organisation skills and be competent in the use of spreadsheets, databases and word processing packages.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

  • To provide administrative support for all aspects of the projects, including reporting progress to senior leaders. Administer systems and processes to support the effectiveness of the projects.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with project leads to develop systems and processes to meet the project outputs.

  2. Liaise with lead accountable partner as and when required to ensure all deadlines and targets are met.

  3. Provide administrative support to track and monitor key performance indicators for the projects in a timely manner.

  4. Support the administration of all the required information and data for submissions to lead accountable partner, including liaising with teams and individuals across the college to ensure all project expenditure is claimed in a timely and accurate manner.

  5. Carry out all necessary administration within the Business & Conference Centre and manage the reception desk in the Centre for agreed periods of time, hosting Leading Lancashire clients in a customer friendly manner.

  6. Provide administration support to all staff within the projects.

  7. Collate project related feedback from all participants.

  8. Engage with local employers to identify and support their training needs.

  9. Proactively promote the college and the projects to business through a variety of methods.

  10. Other duties commensurate with the grade of post as required.

Experience

  • Experience of working in a busy administration team covering a wide range of duties
  • Customer Service experience

Qualifications

  • GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent level 2 qualifications)
  • Business Administration/ Management Level 3

Desirable - Measured by application form

  • IT Qualification

Skills / Abilities
