Public Services Student Qualifies As A Paramedic
Jasmine completed her Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services course at LMC with a D*D*D* qualification. This enabled her to secure a place on the highly competitive and sought after Paramedic course at Liverpool John Moores University.
Jasmine graduated from her degree course last month and has now secured employment with the North West Ambulance Service in Liverpool. Jasmine’s qualification has also enabled her to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Jasmine said “I wanted to thank all the Public Service team at LMC for all their support throughout my time at college and for encouraging me to pursue my dream career. I enjoyed the course at LMC and the opportunities it provided me with to develop my Employability Skills. I am so happy to be qualified as a Paramedic and to be working and living in Liverpool which I love”.
Public Service Level 3 Course Manager, Barry Robson said “Jasmine was an excellent and hardworking student who completed a wide array of additional volunteering hours to support her personal and career development. It is great to see that Jasmine’s efforts have been rewarded with her employment as a Paramedic”.

We have an excellent Public Service team and curriculum provision which supports all students in their career progression and pathways”.
Public Service students at LMC have the opportunity to access a range of learning experiences to develop their Employability Skills which enhance their future career aspirations. These include European visits to Slovakia, Poland and Bulgaria, Industry Placement, National Citizenship Service Programme and working with a range of local schools to deliver coaching and outdoor activities.
LMC Public Service students can study on a range of courses at LMC which are matched to their academic ability and career pathways such as the NCFE Level 2 Entry to Uniformed Services, BTEC Level 3 Diploma’s in Public Services and BTEC HND Level 5 in Public Service qualifications.
