Do it, but don’t be half-hearted. The music courses aren’t doss courses for people to take when they’re undecided on what they want to do in life. They are there for people who have a passion for music and want to take up a job somewhere in the industry later in life, they will push you and stretch you in the ways that you need to have a chance of making a successful career.

What did you do after College?
I made the transition (or struggle) into a full time musician, one that is still going ahead 2 years on now. I am touring around the UK and Europe whilst making enough money to allow me to continue doing this, building my fanbase 1-by-1. My last full length album “The Party We Came For”, was recorded by college tutor Louis Davy at LMC Studios, and has gone on to sell over 2,000 copies in the 15 months it has been available. My plan is to keep working hard, stay focused, stay dedicated, keep open-minded about the directions my career could to take, and stay loyal to those who have helped me along the way.

How did you get into your career?
I was inspired by someone at the age of 15 to rock out with a guitar, so I decided to full on go for it and not really let anything else matter.

What were the best bits about your course?
The tutors were amazing, great to work with and ridiculously approachable. Not only could you go to them with problems about your work, but you could take personal problems to them as well and they’d do their utmost to help you out.

How did LMC help you get where you are today?
They taught me about things I didn’t know, mostly in the theory and tech side of music, and I also made incredible friends there that are now friends for life

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the same course?
