Everyone at LMC is really nice. I have made lots of new friends and had opportunities to get involved with different things, such as the Student Ambassador programme.
Ewan joined Lancaster & Morecambe College after completing his A levels, choosing our Forensic Science course because of his love for STEM, problem-solving and investigative work.
His favourite part of the course so far has been taking on the role of an expert witness in simulated courtroom trials, as well as getting hands on with practical science experiments.
In the course, you go over key things for a forensic investigation, like how to cordon off a crime scene and the steps to solving murders.
During his time at LMC, Ewan has developed strong communication skills, confidence, teamwork and adaptability through public speaking, becoming a student ambassador and helping at open evenings.

digital content.
Ewan has also built a solid foundation in areas like toxicology, human biology and chemical analysis, skills that will support him in whichever scientific path he chooses next.
When asked what he would say to someone considering studying Forensic Science at LMC, he said:
If you’re interested in science, fascinated by forensic and detective work, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this course is well-suited to you
