The Employer Hub @ Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) has been proud to have been part of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) project since September 2023.
On Wednesday, 11th March 2026, Lancaster University welcomed a group of 58 students from Lancaster and Morecambe College for a day immersed in cyber fun and discovery.
LMC have recently renewed their commitment to support the Lancashire Skills Pledge, a county-wide initiative which supports businesses and residents to thrive and prosper.
The students got stuck in learning the ropes and were joined in some exercises by The Grimsby Institute including fire safety, door handling, emergency landing, evacuations and smoke filled cabins.

More than 5000 local young people are set to gain access to new climate action projects designed to grow the skills needed to care for Morecambe Bay and secure local ‘green jobs’, thanks to a £1.5 million grant from The National Lottery Community Fund.
