Overview

Lancaster & Morecambe College is looking for a Transition & Additional Learning Support Quality/ Acting Manager. The job role will include supporting and deputising for the Head of ALS (two days per week). You will manage, co-ordinate and develop the Learning Support Assistants and develop, lead and implement a transition strategy/ plan for those learners moving from special education, internal discrete provision and on exit from Further Education. You will have a positive attitude to working with people with any Special Educational Needs and Disability, in an inclusive educational environment and be able to relate well to people, showing a strong and clear understanding of learning needs. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to the role along with experience of managing challenging conversations. You should hold a minimum Level 4 qualification in a vocational subject and Level 4 Teaching and Learning qualification or be prepared to work towards gaining it. Interviews will be held on Wednesday, 15th December.

Overview

Lancaster & Morecambe College seeks an individual to develop and lead the Health & Safety and administration functions within the Construction & Engineering department, working to proactively support effective curriculum delivery, growth and quality improvement. This administrative role would suit a highly capable and organised individual, able to drive a varied and demanding administrative function, including work with teaching staff in an expanding, multi-disciplined curriculum area to record, manage, analyse and report on a wide range of real-time data and to provide support and advice with Health & Safety recommendations to ensure compliance with H&S legislation. You will have knowledge of practical working within engineering or construction, significant administrative experience including data monitoring and trend analysis and, potentially, some team leader or supervisory experience. You should hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or be capable of gaining in an agreed timescale), and have a minimum Level 3 in Administration or equivalent.
