Overview

We have a vacancy in the Hairdressing team delivering training in a full range of hairdressing and barbering courses to fulltime students and apprentices, in our industry standard salons at Lancaster & Morecambe College. Applications from qualified teachers with recent experience of teaching hairdressing in a Further Education environment will be considered. Alternatively, a new funding opportunity through the Education and Training Foundation’s ‘Taking Teaching Further’ scheme has enabled us to open this opportunity to experienced industry professionals looking for a new challenge and career move to teaching. This might be the time to consider teaching as a second career, passing on your skills to the next generation. The funding will allow us to help you transition to a dual professional teaching role at the College, supporting comprehensive on-the-job training, including initial teacher training qualification. We have a vacancy in our state-of-the-art Construction Centre at Lancaster & Morecambe College: The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic individual with either recent teaching or industrial experience in the Carpentry & Joinery trade.
