Overview

Lancaster & Morecambe College are looking for an hourly paid lecturer in GCSE Biology to provide high quality teaching and learning of the GCSE Biology course to a group of aged 14 -16 learners. The teaching hours are: Tuesdays – 9.30 am – 12 noon and Wednesdays – 1 pm – 3 pm. You will plan and deliver teaching programmes using a flexible range of engaging strategies to promote learning, taking responsibility for the continual development of your own teaching and related curriculum. A flexible approach with good interpersonal and communication skills are essential to the role, along with a minimum Level 3 qualification in an appropriate subject. Lancaster & Morecambe College are seeking a Lecturer in Health/Science who can deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment, and who will provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students. The main focus of this role will be to teach and assess topics relating to working in the health sector, person centred care, safeguarding, managing information and data within the health sector, principles of good practice in scientific and clinical settings, and scientific concepts (particularly relating to biology, anatomy and physiology and physiological disorders) at Level 2 and Level 3. Delivery will mainly be on the new T Level in Health (Level 3) and the Foundation T Level in Health (Level 2).
