Lancaster & Morecambe College are pleased to announce that they has been officially recognised as a College of Sanctuary, a prestigious national award celebrating the College’s commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for people seeking sanctuary. 

The award is part of the wider City of Sanctuary movement, which promotes a culture of welcome across the UK and Ireland. Through a range of initiatives — including awareness-raising events, inclusive curriculum development, and community partnerships — the College has demonstrated its dedication to social justice and human dignity. This recognition celebrates the staff’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of compassion, understanding, and support for asylum seekers, refugees, and other vulnerable groups.
