This qualification is suitable for those who use IT in their job currently, or plan to pursue a career requiring IT skills. You will apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a level recognised by employers, thus proving competency in your job role. On successful completion of the course you will achieve a Gateway Qualifications Level 2 Award in Digital and IT Skills.

Course Overview

Through individual and class taught work you will complete 2 units and create a portfolio of knowledge tests and scenario-based assessments.

Units covered on this course include:

  • Word Processing Software (3 credits)

  • Spreadsheet Software (3 credits)

Progression Routes

On successful completion of this course you can progress onto:

  • IT User Skills (ITQ) - Level 3 Certificate BCS

Entry Requirements

No previous formal qualifications are required however, prior study at ICT Level 1 is preferred.

Course Fees

This course costs £156.00, including exam fees.

You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
