This qualification will increase your knowledge and understanding of autism, and could support progression on to further qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care or education sector.
This 25-week course is hosted online on our Equal platform where you will study the following units:
Autism in Context.
Positive Behavioural Support for autistic Individuals
Understand Support and Management of Transitions for Autistic Individuals
Therapeutic Interventions and Support Available for Autistic Individuals and Co-occurring Conditions
Communication and Social Interaction with Autistic Individuals
Safeguarding and Resilience in Autism.
Upon completion of this course you may choose to complete another health-related course. The College currently offers several health-related Distance Learning courses, including:

Understanding Children & Young People’s Mental Health – Level 2
Special Educational Needs and Disability - Level 2
Understanding Behaviour that Challenges – Level 2
