I would say this course may not be the easiest, but the support you get from Sarah and Jon is unbelievable. I really couldn’t have achieved without them. They are a huge credit to the College.

What were the best bits about your course?
My tutor was one of the best things due to her support and consistent guidance. Another thing was the support given through coursework, but also that our opinions were heard when learning, as in what was the best way for us to learn this topic and how to make it more enjoyable. Our tutors always listened to us throughout and worked exceptionally hard to ensure we all achieved. They were a big part to what I achieved, therefore making them the best part of the course.

Why did you choose your course?
My family own a company, therefore I wanted to learn about business from a different perspective but also understand it more clearly. I always enjoyed business at school so felt it was something I should carry on with.

Why did you choose Lancaster & Morecambe College?
I had some bad experiences at my previous college and felt I needed a change. I chose LMC due to it being a bit further away from my local town, Kendal, and it was easy to get to thanks to the free transport offered.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the same course?
I would say stay focused throughout the two years, as it’s the best feeling getting the desired grade and highest grade possible. I would also say to put faith in the tutors, as they are there to help you and guide you. I would also say get assignments done on time, as it can really help get the grades but also ensure less stress on your personal life and makes college much more enjoyable.

What has been your biggest accomplishment whilst studying at LMC?
My biggest accomplishment whilst at LMC was achieving D*D*D*. I feel I didn’t work hard enough in my first year, therefore, in my second year I really had to step it up to ensure I achieved what I needed to reach those grades.

What do you hope to do when you’ve completed this course?
I hope to continuously achieve in my professional life. My family business has been a big part of my life, but I’ve decided now I want to make my own mark. I’ve recently got a new job as the Counter Manager at Estée Lauder in Beales, Kendal, which I wouldn’t have without achieving my D*D*D* grades. At College I grew in confidence and developed both personally and professionally; this certainly assisted in preparing me for my new role. I hope to excel in my new job, and I am very excited for the new opportunities it may bring in my future.

Any other comments?
I would say this course may not be the easiest, but the support you get from Sarah and Jon is unbelievable. I really couldn’t have achieved without them. They are a huge credit to the College.
