The lecturers are excellent - their hard work and dedication encouraged me to progress in my course. Also their connections within the industry was certainly a great help in starting my career within the Hospitality & Catering industry.

What are the best things about your course?
This course has given me an extra year to progress my skills and gain confidence. The practical work on the Level 3 is much more complex which can be a challenge.

Why did you choose your course?
I chose to do another year and progress to the Level 3 as I didn’t feel ready to go into employment full time - I wanted to improve my skills and confidence further.

I’m interested in eventually going into Management within the trade, and the Level 3 course is a step closer to that position.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about doing the course?
I think the course is great and places you on the right path to becoming a competent Joiner. In my opinion Joinery is the most interesting trade, as you’re always working on a different job.

What has been your biggest accomplishment whilst studying at LMC?
Hopefully, completing my Level 3 course with distinction.

What do you hope to do when you’ve completed this course?
There are a number of options that I am currently looking into, either working abroad, setting up my own business or progressing into Management.
