I would recommend a work placement to anyone considering it, you gain so much experience in very little time, and if you are lucky you might be offered full time employment.

What are the best things about your work placement?
I really enjoy being back in a work environment and learning more about specific skills from my course from someone with years of experience.

Why did you choose your work placement?
I felt that I would be able to do better on site learning first hand instead of doing theory work and workshop activities.

What is your main role during your placement?
My main role includes lagging pipework, knocking out holes for wastepipe and fitting plastic piping to walls with accurate fall.

What has been your biggest accomplishment during your work placement?
My biggest accomplishment to date has been learning how to cut and fit lagging correctly, exposing no pipework at all.

What do you hope to do when you’ve completed this course?
Hopefully I can qualify through my apprenticeship and later on in life maybe be my own boss with my own company.
