This course has been designed to prepare you for employment as a member of Air Cabin Crew. The course takes place from September through to May.

Who is this Course for?

This course is designed for 16-18 year old and will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience. The course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers.

What progression and career opportunities will I gain?

85% of students secured jobs in the Tourism industry upon completion of the course.

What are the entry requirements for the course?

4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher including Maths or English OR a Level 1 related qualification PLUS grade D/3 or higher in Maths or English.

Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager.

Please note, to secure employment you need to be between 5ft 2” and 6ft 9”, have no visible tattoos and must be 18 years old by the end of the course.

What does the course involve?

You will study the following:

• Airline Health, Safety and Security

• Airline Emergency Procedures

• Cabin Crew Room Duties

• Role of Air Cabin Crew

• Preparation for Employment as Air Cabin Crew

• Airline and Aviation Operations

All LMC students will receive tutorial support.

All students aged 16-19 are required to study functional English and maths qualifications or GCSE maths and English if not already awarded a grade C/4 or higher in these subjects. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression into Further or Higher education, training or employment.

How will I be Assessed?

This course is continuously assessed using a range of methods including coursework, assignments, practical performance and examination.

What qualification will I get?

On completion of this course you will receive a City and Guilds Diploma in Air Cabin Crew Level 2.
