Protecting yourself and your business from cyber security risks can seem daunting but there are some simple steps you can take to ensure you have the basics in place. This free, 3 hour workshop aims to introduce you to Cyber Security for your business and give you the awareness of threats and what steps can be taken to help mitigate those threats.
Successful completion of the course will achieve a Level 1 Award in Cyber Security.
- Course Overview
You will learn about cybercrime and the risks and effects it has on individuals and organisations and will learn more about routine protective methods used to maintain cybersecurity including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control.
The main areas included in this workshop are:
What is Cyber Security?
Awareness of Cyber Threats of where they come from
What steps you can take to protect your business
We will also provide you with further information and ways you can help protect yourself and your business.

This course costs £84* fee waiver available, including exam fees.
You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
