Delivered at a 80:20 practical to theory ratio, this Level 1 course offers is an opportunity to try your hand at home improvements such as Joinery, Plumbing, and Electrical, whilst gaining essential DIY skills and a qualification.

Assessed by a portfolio of photographic evidence, tutor observations, practical assessments, and observations, you will gain a Level 1 certificate in Introduction into the Construction Environment upon successful completion of the course.

There are a variety of progression opportunities within the College, including Full Time and Apprenticeships in;

  • Level 1/2 Bricklaying

  • Level 1/2 Plastering

  • Level 1/2 Carpentry & Joinery

Entry Requirements

A basic level of English & Maths is required to study this course, alongside a commitment to studies and an enjoyment of working with people.

Learners should provide their own safety shoes or boots. All other equipment will be provided.

Course Fees

This course costs £251.00, including exam fees.

You may be eligible for free study if you are 23 or under and this is your first full Level 2 or 3 course. Alternatively, if you are unemployed, receiving an eligible benefit, and taking the course to help you find employment.
