This Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills required to further your career in the Gas industry. You will learn advanced health & safety as well as Science, and the principles required to work in the Construction & Engineering environment.

You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will attend College once a week for your off the job training.

At College you will be taught by industry trained tutors who have over 30 years of experience within the Gas industry. You will be taught in our up-to-date workshops allowing you to become confident and proficient, whilst developing your skills and Gas Knowledge

Course Overview

At the start of your Apprenticeship you will be assigned your own Work Place Co-Ordinator who will be there for you throughout your Apprenticeship to answer any questions you may have. They will also visit you onsite along with your College tutor to make sure your Apprenticeship journey is a comfortable one.

During your sessions at College you will undertake Gas tests that will be used to assess your progress. These tests will be used monitor your capability and eligibility, as you work towards your End Point Assessment (EPA).

At College you will be assessed by written assessments, practical tests, observations and a portfolio of all training carried out both in College and at your workplace. There will also be regular assessor visits to the workplace to observe your competency in completing certain tasks. You will cover the theoretical aspects of Gas, both in the classroom and through occasional home study.

Progression Routes

On successful completion of your Level 3 Apprenticeship, you will be fully competent to work in the domestic Gas industry

Entry Requirements

Students that do not have GCSEs at grade C/4 or higher in English and Maths will be required to take an initial assessment to showcase abilities. Students must also be currently working in the gas industry.
